Is it possible to hit a golf ball on the surface of the moon and have it achieve a stable orbit around the moon?

No. Based on the figure of  5320.73 mph  for the escape velocity required on the moon.
Even after dividing that figure by sqrt(2) to convert from escape velocity to circular orbital velocity at the moon's surface, the 3762 mph is still too fast to be able to drive a golf ball.
