- All digits of n are in ascending order, in base 10.

Actually 012 = 12. They're considered (as far as I know) the same numbers. So the solution would be 502 numbers.
Something funny: In spanish there's a common saying: "That thing matters less than a zero to the left" meaning that a zero on the left of a number leaves it the same...
