Each wanted to name his house after the daughter of one of his friends that is: Adela, Briana, Cayla, Diane, and Elaine (albeit, not necessarily in that order).
To be sure that their houses would have different names, the friends met to make their choices together.
- Chet and Brice both wanted to name their house Diane. They drew lots and Brice won. Chet named his house Adela.
- Adolfo named his house Briana.
- Elaine's father had not come to the meeting, and Evan phoned him to tell him to name his house Cayla.
- Briana's father named his house Elaine.
