What digit? (Posted on 2014-04-08) Difficulty: 2 of 5

63+16=65

The above statement is not true, but you could make it true just by inserting a certain digit into this equation in three different places.
Same digit!

No mathematical symbol can be added or changed.

What is this digit?
What is the correct equation?

Solution When you see it... (spoiler) Comment 1 of 1

They are.  The added digit is 2, added as a power to each number:

63+16=65
