The first thing I thought of was an old puzzle asking "What is the smallest number whose name contains the letter 'a'?"  That answer is "one thousand" (1000).  That alone takes care of a, e, o, and u.  The smallest number for 'i' is "five" (5).  Putting those together gives the answer "one thousand five" (1005).
