How many integer squares are "sandwiched" between 2 prime numbers?

If a sandwich can contain multiple layers of lettuce, tomato, etc. then the number of squares between any two primes, p1 and p2, with  (p2>p1), is:
    int(sqrt(p2)) - int(sqrt(p1))
