What word (which doesn't contain the letter y) only has one vowel even though it has nine letters?

Great question, Mr. Ladd !! Without doing an Internet search, the only one I could think of off the top of my head is "whipstitching", which has 9 distinct letters (8 distinct consonants and 1 distinct vowel). It means "to seam or hem with shallow overcasting stitches".
