Safety from the Queen II (Posted on 2004-03-30) Difficulty: 3 of 5
I had read about a sequel to Safety from the Queen.

Is it possible to put 8 queens on the board so that 11 squares are left unattacked?

Isn't the board 5x5? I went back and read the original problem ("Safety from the queen") and the problem specified a 5x5 board.  Gamer didn't specify it, but I think he (or she, I don't know) meant a 5x5 board.  Thus, f1, f2, c6, c7, c8, d7, d8, g4, g5, h5, h6, and h7 do not exist.
