Symmetrical words (Posted on 2004-05-21) Difficulty: 2 of 5
Can you think of words...

with horizontal symmetry?
with vertical symmetry?
with 180 degrees rotation symmetry?

What are the LONGEST words in each category? (Common words are preferred.)

To K, or not to K? A "M" is a "W" is a "M"? | Comment 8 of 18 |
I would accept a K to have horizontal symmetry, even if it's not perfect; if I see a K reflected on water, it stills looks like a K.

A "M" that turns into a "W"? That's like the "K" problem, and it's fine in my opinion.

A sliding lowercase "L"? Well, the jury's still out on this one... (I thought about upper/lowercase words when I posted the puzzle, but opted not to be dogmatic or specific about it... weaseling out, it's called!)

Words that aren't symmetrical, but formed by symmetric letters? No way, that's not what's asked.
