I would agree with this reasoning, except for the fact that the man doesn't actually tell you anything else.
If he said "My name is Bob, and everything I tell you is a lie", then yes, you can say that him being named Bob will yield a satisfactory paradoxless resolution to the problem.
But since the ONLY thing he said is that everything he says is a lie... I'm not quite sure. This makes the problem interesting.
