I think it was supposed to be...
if log2(3) = x
then what is...
log2(6) not log2(9)

anyway... to this question...
log2(9) = log2(3^2) = 2log2(3)
since log2(3) = x ; 2log2(3) = 2x

but if you make the question what is log2(6)
it goes like this...
log2(6) = log2(3*2) = log2(3) + log2(2) = x+1
