There's this town with two blacksmiths - one, a swordsmaker and the other, a shield maker. The swordsmaker's swords can slice through anything as a rule and the other guy's shields cannot be destroyed. Now they get cut up with each other for some reason and pit their wares against each other. What do you expect happens?
Simple matter of wording which has contributed to my solution, the problem states the shield cannot be "destroyed", implying that the shield no longer exists or ceases its purpose. However the sword can cut through anything, therefore the sword cuts through the shield but the shield remains in two pieces(but still not destroyed). This could continue until the shield is cut into 1/4, 1/16 1/32 and so forth, but it would still exist and not have been "destroyed".
