A watchdog is tied to the outside wall of a round building 20 feet in diameter. If the dog's chain is long enough to wind half way around the building, how large an area can the watchdog patrol?

It's been a good 20 years since I did any calculus, and then it was never for a simple curve like a circle.
I just skimmed through the comments, and think that it still boils down
to the building circle inside the dog circle. I wouldn't mess with
horns, etc. Before integrating, I would just place both circles at the
origin, integrate on quadrant I, get the difference, then multiply by
4.
