No complicated set-up for this one! Quite simply, what number comes next and why?
2 4 6 9 11 15 20 ??

Nope, just kidding.  I don't have a clue.  But I do have some thoughts.

I was thinking of how 4 and 6 were related, and how 9 and 11 were related, and I thought, "What about the 2?  Is there a 0 in front that Jenny forgot to put there?"  I don't think Jenny would leave off a 0 if there was supposed to be one.

It can't be a month/day combo, because 15 and 20 are too big to be months.  It can't be a message with a = 1, b = 2, ... z = 26, based on np_rt's post; the numbers get too big.

I noticed the pattern that 2 is prime, 4,6,9 are not prime, 11 is prime, 15, 20 are not.  Oh, wait, oops. There's no pattern there.

Then I looked at how the numbers were spelled.

two, four, six, nine, eleven, fifteen, twenty, ?

I certainly don't see a pattern there.

Spanish, maybe?

dos, cuatro, seis, nueve, once, quince, veinte, ?

Nope, they aren't in Spanish.

I'm really grasping at straws here, and I don't think I'm even close, so either I'm really stupid for not seeing how it works, or it should have been rated a higher difficulty.  I have a feeling it's the first one.
