An intelligent friend of mine told me the other day that half of twelve was seven. I told him it was six, and tapped it in on my calculator to prove it was, in fact, 6. He then wrote down on a piece of paper how he was right.
What did he write?
He wrote: "I have a loaded gun in my pocket, so stop arguing..."
JUST KIDDING.
In base 12, "12" = 14 in base 10. And so half of 12 is 7 in base 12.
