A rainbow of haves and have-nots (Posted on 2005-01-26) Difficulty: 1 of 5
Silver has it, but Gold or Bronze have it not.
Purple has it, but Violet or Magenta have it not.
Orange has it, but Red or Yellow have it not.

What are we talking about? Can you add another color that "has it"?

Question A nitpicky question | Comment 10 of 15 |

Since when are silver, gold, bronze, and magenta in the rainbow?

Supposedly, Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, and Violet are the only colors in the rainbow.  I would just as soon drop Indigo and change Violet to Purple.  Notice that purple is talked about in the problem.

It would be so much easier if there were six rainbow colors that had the same names as the six normal pigment colors and light colors.

So instead of ROY G BIV, it would be ROY G B P, a first name and three initials.  I mean, what kind of last name is 'BIV' anyway?  ROY Greg Bailey Parks is much better, don't you think?...
