Can you hang a painting from two pegs, so that if you remove EITHER of the pegs, the painting will fall down?
Pound peg 1 straight into the wall, perpendicular to the wall.
Immediately below this peg, pound in the second peg at a moderate upward slope, say 30 degrees. The second peg could start a tiny bit below the first peg, but is driven in a little further than the first peg.
If you remove the upper peg, the wire will fall down on the sloped peg and fall.
If you remove the lower peg, the upper peg will be unstable since there is a big hole under it and almost no plaster. The upper peg will then slip down into the sloping hole and the picture will fall.
