In A few coins, we learned about Levikland, in which the currency is perplexii. The coin values are 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, and 100 perplexii.

How many perplexii can you have and still not be able to make change for a 100 perplexii coin?

I agree that it would have been good if we Journeymen and Scholars had thought of this, to correct this loophole.  I also doubt that what you suggest is the intended idea.

It would be good if your eye for such loopholes could be applied before the problems get posted.  Submit some puzzles, and after 6 of them get posted, you become a Journeyman and get a chance to find such unintended loopholes before the puzzles get posted.
