Can the omnipotent God create a stone which he(she?) him(her?)self Cannot carry?
(Note: blasphemy added by levik. Disregard if offensive)
I'm guessing God can at least clean-and-jerk His own body weight. That's infinite, so you, me, the universe and everything would become one big lump of masonry.
Can two seperate infinite objects occupy the same space?
An omnipotent 'thing' can, can't, can, can't, can create a stone that big. But omnipotent here describes God, who can't act contrary to His nature, or He would cease to be an all-powerful God. Would He do something stupid? Would He commit suicide by replacing himself with a giant pebble?
Anyway, a rock is material. God is outside of matter, not limited by time or weight. A rock by definition can't be more than a material abject, or it would no longer be a rock.
Besides, even if the conundrum were likely to cancel God out, it never will. It'll keep going on and on and on and on and on, and God can wait for that. He's infinite.
