The only 4 letter word i could find starting with 'ox' is Oxen... This gives a couple of options for the 4-Across - Zany, Zinc, Zone...This in turn gives a couple of options for 4-Down - Doze, ooze, cozy, rozy...

But i can't find any 4-letter word ending in zor, zod, zoc, zoo... infact, can't find a 4-letter word with the middle letters bing 'zo'
