There are a number of common words in the English language which start with a double letter, such as ooze and eerie, but these start with vowels.
Can you think of a common word in the English language which starts with a double consonant?

It's a bit silly, though, as everyone knows that Welsh isn't really a
language, and thus has no "words". Indeed, the most common real word
spoken in Wales is "Baaaa!".
...or is that Scotland where I am?
:D
