There are a number of common words in the English language which start with a double letter, such as ooze and eerie, but these start with vowels.
Can you think of a common word in the English language which starts with a double consonant?
With respect to Penny and those who offered similar oddities, and I
know they were presented as such, the questions key words were: "a
common word in the English language"
If it is common it has to be something that most school kids have a
chance of knowing (yes?), and it must available with censorship, which
does bring down the limit! Dda**!
I like llama(s).
