Could the part after the point be a sort of signature?
If so then 10589 can be john

With j = 10 (10589) then the letter o = 15 (or 10+5 10589) h = 8 (10589) and then I don't know n=14 (Which can be 5+9 as 10589).  But this is illogical, why not have a 6 as last digit (8+6=14=n)?

Maybe its not john at all, but on the otrher hand, this may help somebody to find a solution, after all not all of us are as smart as leming.
