Talking gibberish (Posted on 2003-02-23) Difficulty: 3 of 5
A guy walks into a restaurant. Half an hour later the waiter hands him a bill. The guy immediately says:

"102004180"

The waiter being a rather smart chap, waitering only because of the recession, immediately understood what he meant... but do you?

well.....it is nothing but the way the numbers are replaced for words.......the 1 actually should have been a roman numeral which would imply "I", then the "0" which is actually pronouned as "nought" is replaced by "ought", then "2" is replaced by the word "to".........and similarly we reach the final answer where the chap is trying to say:
"I ought to owe nothing, for I ate nothing".
That's it !!!!
