There are a number of common words in the English language which start with a double letter, such as ooze and eerie, but these start with vowels.

Can you think of a common word in the English language which starts with a double consonant?

I can't think of many more than "llama", which is an animal.  I'm not sure if this is a "common" word, but hey.  It's a word, nonetheless.

I have a English-Japanese dictionary which for some reason shows the word "llano"... but I can't read what it means and it's not common, as the problem specifies.
