Red, like a cherry, Gold like the sand,
Green like the grass, all over this land.
Pivotal pools two directions they seek,
Strong on deception, with no cover I'm weak.

What am I?

Considering all of the hints supplied by those much smarter than me it is clearly a swan looking in a mirror and holding a chameleon while sitting on the Mexican (or a similarly colored) flag at the end of a rainbow . . .
