Small problem:
If f (x,y) =16(x^3+y^3)+12(x^2+y^2)+3(x+y), then
f (9439,-9439) = f (9439,-9439) = 2,138,273,304
not 2,138,156,388 as required.
In your solution
Solving 24 x^2 = 2,138,156,388 gives (plus/minus)
Sqrt[178179699/2] = 9438.74.. not 9439.
