Chuck can barely defeat, by himself alone, Sylvester and Steven together.
Sylvester and Chuck are a perfect match for Arnold and Steven.
But if Chuck and Arnold exchange places, Sylvester and Arnold together can decisively beat Chuck and Steven.
Who is stronger, who is weaker?
Let R=Rocky (Sylvester), C=Chuck, A=Arnold, S=Steven
We are given:
1) C > R + S
2) R + C = A + S
3) R + A > C + S
From 1) we have
C > R
C > S
Adding C to both sides of 3) we get
R + C + A > C + C + S
We can replace "R + C" with "A + S" based on 2), so we have
A + A + S > C + C + S
Subtracting S from both sides and dividing by 2 gives us
A>C
Now all we need is to know which is greater: R or S
Adding R + S to both sides of 3) we get
R + A + S + R > S + R + C + S
From 2) we see we can subtract A + S from the left side of this equation and simultaneously subtract R + C from the right side. Then, dividing both sides of the equation by 2 leaves us with
R > S
Putting our results together we have
A > C > R > S
So, from strongest to weakest:
Arnold, Chuck, Sylvester, Steven.
