Hands On A Clock (Posted on 2004-07-05) Difficulty: 3 of 5
Do the three hands on an analog clock (hours, minutes, seconds) ever divide the face of the clock into three equal segments, i.e. 120 degrees between each hand?

There are twenty four instances when there is an angle of 120 deg between Hour hand & minute hand. And at all the points angle with seconds hand is not 120. Two instances the second hand is alligned with minute hand at the instant. My solution was actually the time when they were alligned. The angle was 120 only with hour hand.

Hence there is no solution
