True Or False - Part 2 (Posted on 2003-05-07) Difficulty: 2 of 5
Obviously the following statement is 'False':
"This sentence contains Seven words".

So we correct the sentence by changing it to:
This sentence does not contain Seven words".

We know that the First statement is False and so now can we conclude that the Second statement is True ?

the sentences are both false. the first sentence says: this sentence has seven words. that is false, it does not have seven words. the second sentence says: this sentence does not have seven words. that is false, because it does have seven word. the sentences are both referring to themselves, they have different subjects, and are not connected in any way.
