The famous saying, 'expect the unexpected' is well known. However, can it be true?
expect
- To look forward to the probable occurrence or appearance of:
- To consider likely or certain:
unexpected
adj 1: not expected or anticipated; "unexpected guests"; "unexpected news" 2: not foreseen; "unsuspected difficulties arose"; "unsuspected turnings in the road"
By substitution the phrase is "Look forward to the probable occurance of the not anticipated"
again it is my belief that one cannot consider probable an event that is unanticipated or not foreseen. If the event can be anticipated or foreseen then it is not unexpected.
Of course, everything is relative to your point of view such as iamkobe brought up. So i don't think there is an aboslute correct answer to this problem it can be argued from both sides with the same conviction and accuracy for lack of a better term. If YOU think it can be done then it can conversely if YOU don't then it can't.
