The famous saying, 'expect the unexpected' is well known. However, can it be true?

To 'expect the unexpected' may be True or False, depending on the definitions given for expect and unexpected.  But, in my normal understanding of the words, the saying is True.  Though there may be a higher probability of one event occuring over another, it is still only a probability....not an absolute.
