The solution to this puzzle is a single word described by a cryptic phrase found by ignoring this message (after some reflection):
nofit celof rerem mosre tfaae
galss lemys ichtg onnir ongif
ybedn ruofe asarh fipcf ittpy
yrcay bddeb oircs elddl
arrow felga nicse asiin elzaz
merup sihto tinoi tulos ehcat.

re(2): Solution (again) by Hugo)
After reading the solution, I realise that no encrypting is done, all the letters are the same in the plaintext as in the cyphertext.
It is nice to see though that the frequency technique I planned to use this morning would have worked. The letters EAOI follow the etaoin shrdlu pattern, there aren't a lot of T's though. Nasty bit is that Mindrod's crypto technique masks most of the bigram's and trigram's, that's why I could not find "the" or "eht".
Thanks for the problem Mindrod.
