I think these are all great ideas, but I don't think any of them work. First of all, the line says "Yet I become a drink inside your glass."

If someone walked up and said "Whatcha got in that glass?", could you answer with "toast," "grapes," or "orange?"

And milk is hardly something that could go on a plate.

As far as eggs... those don't have much to do with the time of day as to whether one eats or drinks them.

Maybe I'm out of place criticizing all your answers when I really don't even have one. I thought of toast, but had to rule that out. The only one I think that has merit is mash, but it would depend on whether or not the author was from England, 'cause face it... American is a whole different language from English.
