A short man takes three steps to a tall man’s two steps. They both start out on the left foot.

How many steps do they have to take before they are both stepping out on the right foot together ?

Let's suppose that the short one takes a step every 2 seconds and the tall one every 3 seconds. (So they are walking at the same pace)

0- sec: Short: Left--- Tall: Left
1- sec: Short: -------
2- sec: Short: Right--
3- sec: Short: ------- Tall: Right
4- sec: Short: Left---
5- sec: Short: -------
6- sec: Short: Right-- Tall: Left
7- sec: Short: -------
8- sec: Short: Left---
9- sec: Short: ------- Tall: Right
10 sec: Short: Right--
11 sec: Short: -------
12 sec: Short: Left--- Tall: Left

The sequence repeats, so it won't work!
