Do the three hands on an analog clock (hours, minutes, seconds) ever divide the face of the clock into three equal segments, i.e. 120 degrees between each hand?
(In reply to
i think this might be right.... by matt)
I originally thought this, however the second hand is at 40 therefore the big hand (minute hand) is no longer at 12, it is slightly past.
However... if you take the second hand to 12, the hands have not moved past their spaces .. yet.
So 4:40:00 OR 8:20:00
I put clock into 360 degree with 1 at 30, 2 at 60, 3 at 90 ... etc. But remember the hands are on their spaces ONLY when the second hand is at 12. any other time when the second hand is not at 12 means the minute hand has moved a fraction.
