This is the hardest riddle I've ever created so far. If you can solve it I'd say you're really good. Here goes...
Half of a common germ,
Half of a yellow food.
Half of a longer month,
Half of a plane of wood.
This thing has two halves too,
One half as heavy as the other.
Tis' an object used to
Part one's life asunder.
What on earth am I talking about?
(In reply to
No idea. by John)
I had the same words presented as in John's post, with
a few more. I will list those in hopes that one could help:
Half of a common germ...salmonella, amoeba, mildew,...
Half of a yellow food...squash, hominy, okra, yolk,
carrot (though orange in color, it is classified as
a yellow vegetable),...
Half of a plane of wood...veneer, deck, paneling, (forest?),...
Though one could expect the words to be evenly divisible,
it may not necessarily be so. So one may need to increase
their list:
Half of a yellow food...straw, hay, lemon, pineapple,...
Half of a longer month...January, March, May, October
Half of a plane of wood...parquet, board, plank,...
The answer escapes me right now, too.
