Power - ful (Posted on 2003-12-31) Difficulty: 3 of 5
What is the last digit of the number:

8^(7^(6^(5^(4^(3^(2^1))))))

[(a)^b implies 'a' raised to the power of 'b', ((a)^b)^c implies 'a' raised to the power 'bc', but a^(b^c) implies 'a' raised to the power 'b' raised to the power 'c'.]

just how big is it | Comment 9 of 11 |
just something you all might like to know.

If you let x=5^(4^(3^(2^1)))
then I computed
(all logs are in base 10)
x*Log(6*Log(7*Log(8)))
now this number has about 183230 digits.  so that should give you and idea of just how insanely huge this number is
