Which vegetable is never sold tinned, frozen, freeze dried,
cooked or anything else other than fresh?
What has its seeds on the outside?
A gourd would seem to fit the first. You buy them in the fall when they are fresh and since they are not eaten there is no other way to buy them.
A strawberry has seeds on the outside.
(Technically a gourd is a fruit, but hey, technically a strawberry is a vegetable so I think my answers are ok.)
