Circles are of same diameter and touching adjoining circles as per the diagram. Stefan,
When I first glanced at your solution I didn't take it in, I was too concerned to see whether anyone had posted my viewpoint.
After having offered my response I note that we both had chosen a geometric construction.
I tend to feel that your solution is tidier than mine as it requires less constructional work to get to the result.
