In a sesquipedalian farm, a hen and a half lay an egg and a half in a day and a half. How many eggs would seven hens lay in a week and half?
In a Three-Quarter Ranch, a hen & three quarters lay an egg and three quarters in a day and three quarters. How many eggs do seven ducks lay in week?
Part 1:
(3/2 egg) / (3/2 hen * 3/2 day) = 2/3 egg / (hen*day)
2/3 egg / (hen*day) * 7 hens * 21/2 days = 49 eggs
Part 2:
(7/4 egg) / (7/4 hen * 7/4 day) = 4/7 egg / (hen*day)
So if those ducks were hens, after 7 days the 7 hens (for 49 hen*days) would lay 28 eggs. But they're ducks, so we can't tell how fast they lay their eggs.
