Fast clock, slow clock (Posted on 2007-04-11) Difficulty: 2 of 5
At a certain time of day, every day, my clock appears to be an hour fast. At another time of day, it appears to be an hour slow. It is neither fast nor slow. What's wrong with it?

Creative answers so far!  I like that.  So don't interpret these hints to be a "slamming down" of other solutions, but rather pointing in the general direction of the clever answer I had thought of.

Passing timezones everyday?  Sorry, I like having weekends off.

On a spacecraft?  That's pretty far out.

A stopped hour hand?  Let's just say that for most of the day, the clock reads correctly.

A stopped clock?  Actually, at 12:22, the clock will not read at all.
