A special word (Posted on 2003-01-14) Difficulty: 2 of 5
There is something special about the English word "facetiously".

Can you tell what it is?

Can you find any other words with this special property?

The given word contains all the vowels in alphabetical order. In
addition, the consonant  "y" follows "U" in consonance with the
general alphabetic order.

At least two words with this special property exists, and these are:

HAREIOUSLY ( meaning,  cruelly)

ABSTEMIOUSLY(meaning, temperately)

If the alphabetical order is maintained with the vowels,
but "y" can occur between any two vowels, then:

PHRAGELLIORHYNCHUS (a protozoan)

is also an acceptable solution.
