Word Square (Posted on 2004-05-09) Difficulty: 2 of 5
Here is a cool and comical word square I read about which has both across and down clues.

Across:
1: What dogs do
2: What sharks do
3: What you do when you eat
4: What I might tell you: ___ me

Down:
1: Insects
2: Optical Organs
3: Ridicule
4: Comfort

Solution Problem Solution With Explanation Comment 7 of 7 |
(In reply to answer by K Sengupta)

In the solution,
Each of the across (i), for i =  1 to 4, is 'bite'.
Checking for the down clues:
bs --> bees (which are insects)
is --> eyes (which are optical organs)
ts--> tease ( which literally means to ridicule)
es--> ease ( which means, to comfort)

Thus the required solution to the given problem is:

bite
bite
bite
bite
