Log_10 (2^1000)
= 1000*Log_10(2)
= 1000*0.30102999566
=301.02999566

Thus,

301< Log_10 (2^1000)< 302
Or, 10^301 < 2^1000 < 10^302

Thus, 2^1000 has precisely 302 digits.
