How many flowers do I have if all of them are roses except two, all of them are tulips except two, and all of them are daisies except two?
There is a third possibility other than:
3 flowers -- 1 rose, 1 daisy, and 1 tulip; and
2 flowers of a variety other than rose, daisy or tulip.
If one allows the possibility of hybrids:
4 flowers -- e.g., 2 daisies and 2 tulip-roses, with a tulip-rose belonging to both the tulip and rose varieties.
