We know that :

log_y(x) = Log_p(x)/log_p(y)

Thus, it follows that:

log_2(9)/log_2(3) = log_3(9) = 2
or, log_2(9) = 2*log_2(3).......(*)

But, log_2(3) = x (given), and accordingly, it follows from (*) that:

log_2(9) = 2x
