Log2(72)

= log2(2^3*3^2)

= log2(2^3) + log2(3^2)

= 3 + 2log2(3)

= 3 + 2x


log2(6)

= log2(2*3)

= log2(3) + log2(1)

= x+1


Consequently, we must have:

log72(6)

= log2(6)/log2(72)

= (x+1)/(2x+3)
