re: new interpretation by ed bottemiller)
As I initially interpreted the message, I found four solutions to
FIND/EXTRA = quarter, such that quarter = 1/4 and the digit 0 was excluded (i.e., 1 "to" 9 digits):
FIND/EXTRA
- 3942/15768
- 4392/17568
- 5796/23184
- 7956/31824
Yet, as others pointed out, there can be other interpretations. One such, for a unique answer, one can assume 'quarter' should have been in capitals, as is the letter represented numbers on the left side of the equation, and the X is a multiplication symbol:
FIND/E X TRA = QUARTER
8235/1 X 906 = 7460910
