Each of the four is to start and end with a homophone. That could give yolk=yoke, lode=load, foul=fowl, sore=soar, ??, tern=turn, beer=bier, read=reed -- but what is a homophone for "MOAN" ? (Moen is a surname) Let's ask the Loan Ranger.
